Our high-quality reproduction of the original LA CHAISE was designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1946 for a competition, this chair is inspired by Gaston LaChaise's "floating Sculpture". Its elegant lines and sculptural quality allow the occupier to sit or recline in numerous positions.
It features a strong shell molded by multiple layers of fiberglass, durable rods made up of stainless steel, and a solid intersecting platform base made in solid ash wood. A comfortable depth is provided especially to act as a gentle support system for humans while a sleek curved design adds a gleam to the living space.
Eames designed many extraordinary pieces of furniture, but few more striking than La Chaise. It is an exceptionally attractive piece of organic furniture design that makes the fantastic centerpiece of any contemporary room. The price is for the chaise as shown in the photo, made with a fiberglass shell with red color cashmere upholstery, a solid ash base.
